Biography
Field Medical Training Battalion-East
HMCM(FMF/SW/AW/IW) J.B. Pritchett

Master Chief Pritchett, a Louisiana native enlisted in the Navy in November 1992.  He completed both Recruit Training Command & Hospital Corps "A" School in Great Lakes, IL.

His sea assignments include tours with 2D Marine Division 2d BN 6th Marines, Camp Lejeune, NC, 2D MLG Dental Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC, USS HARRY S TRUMAN (CVN 75), 2d Marine Division, 3d BN 8th Marines and 1st BN 2d Marines, Camp Lejeune, NC, and USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).

His deployments include 3 Mediterranean floats from August 1995 to February 1996, Operation Iraqi Freedom, September 2002 to March 2003, and October 2004 to April 2005; Operation Enduring Freedom, Helmand District, Afghanistan, November 2008 to June 2009, March 2010 to October 2010, Operation Inherent Resolve, WESTPAC August 2014 to June 2015.

His shore assignments include the Naval Hospital Millington, TN 1993-1994 where he worked in the Alcohol Rehabilitation Department, ENT clinic and the Branch Medical Clinic. He served at Field Medical Service School/Field Medical Training Battalion from 2005-2008 and won Instructor of the Year in 2007, earned his Master Training Specialist Designator and is a plank owner of FMTB-E. Served at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC 2011-2014. He was the Directorate Leading Chief Petty Officer for Surgical Services.  4th Marine Aircraft Wing, New Orleans, LA, where he was the CSEL for 7000 Marines and Sailors at 19 sites across 16 states from November 2016 to June 2019.

Prior to reporting to, Field Medial Training Battalion-East, Master Chief Pritchett's most recent assignment was with Naval Personnel Command HM Lead Detailer (PERS 407).

Master Chief Pritchett holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration and is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 53).

Master Chief Pritchett's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards, one combat V), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Combat Action Ribbon, and various other unit & campaign awards.
